Clone Window

Get Clone Window
Version 0.2.9

Clones the current tab's address and history into a new window when the New Window command is used (and optionally into a new tab when the New Tab command is used).

Note: If you're looking for on demand tab duplication then the Duplicate Tab add-on might be more suitable.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. How do I configure Clone Window to clone tabs?

Go to Tools->Add-ons->Extensions->Clone Window->Options, then set the New Tab command to Clone Tab.

Absolutely brilliant. Thanks.

Love this. Just switched to Firefox after IE for so long. The newest IE update caused many of my programs not to run or only half way. Firefox is way cool except for the clone window problem. This works perfectly. Now Firefox is PERFECT! Thanks!!

Clone Window 0.2.9 doesn't work on Firefox 3.5.7.

#208 Pike

@fschmidt

When you say it doesn't work what exactly do you mean? What is the precise problem? Also have you tried reinstalling the extension as mentioned at the top of the page?

#209 Robert

Does Clone-Window work with Firefox 3.6? I didn't install 3.6 yet because it warned that it wouldn't.

#210 Pike

@Robert

Yes it does but you may need to reinstall the extension from this page after installing Firefox 3.6. Please see the big red box at the top of this page.

#211 Ronald

Hi Pike, hope you continue to support this extension for all future versions of Firefox, had been using this on all my firefox installations for years now. Thanks!

#220 Greg

Clone Window's causing Private Browsing Mode crash when I go into it and come out of it. It works fine with Clone Window disabled...
